This stunning fleece comes from a mixed Shetland sheep, a heritage type rooted in the remote Shetland Isles of Scotland. Valued for their naturally soft wool, Shetland crosses are admired for combining the durability and character of traditional Shetland fleece with unique fibre and colour qualities from their mixed lineage.
The fleece features medium-length fibres with a striking natural colour pattern: rich dark brown along the spine that transitions into light brown sides with soft pale tips. The tonal gradient gives the piece depth, warmth, and a refined rustic charm.
Perfect as a chair pad or back rest, this is a vegetarian fleece, sheared humanely and without harm. The underside is finished with light grey merino wool, offering a soft, natural backing that allows the fleece to sit beautifully on furniture while adding comfort wherever it is placed.
